Meeting Minutes – February 2025

March 10,2025

The February 10th., meeting of the Yorkana Borough Council was called to order by President Steve Daugherty at 7:30 p.m. The meeting was opened with the pledge of allegiance followed by an invocation given by Chris from C.S. Davidson.

Members present were : Nita Smith, Dave Bardo, Marv Henise,

Christine Grosh, Ruthann Palacios and Jolene Kirsch. Absent were Skip and Lyn McElheny. Guests attending were Katie Brandenbaugh , Deb McElroy and Chris from C.S. Davidson.

The minutes of the January 13th meeting were read and accepted on a motion from Ruthann and 2nd by Marv.

The treasurer’s report was given and approved on a motion from Jolene and 2nd by Ruthann.

Chris, C.S. Davidson, reported that an operations and maintenance agreement on the Barninger property has been done regarding the storm water. A motion to approve was made by Christine and 2nd by Dave.

Deb McElroy had several concerns she brought before council. She questioned the weed ordinance, the fence ordinance and the septic ordinance. All items were explained in detail with her. She was advised she can contact the council at any time with questions.

New Business: It was reported that Rick Snyder is having problems with his septic system and will receive notification from the borough to take care of the problem.

A motion to pay the bills was made by Ruthann and 2nd by Jolene.

A motion to adjourn was made by Ruthann and 2nd by Marv.
